Total amount of treatments

We aim to keep the number of treatments as low as possible, so you can be relieved of your symptoms quickly.

  • Simple reactions, such as only MCAS, can often be treated in 1 session.

  • In most cases, 1 to 3 sessions are sufficient for an effective and lasting result.

  • We offer you the following guarantee: if you need more than 5 treatment sessions, you'll receive the following sessions free*. We can say this with confidence, as we've never had to do this before.

*up to a maximum of 5 free sessions

How much does a treatment cost?

For €297, you receive a targeted, personal treatment designed to address your symptoms quickly and effectively.

Premium treatments are offered by appointment only.

Practical information about the SAAT treatment

The SAAT method (Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment) is designed to effectively address allergies, food intolerances, MCAS, and other hypersensitivity reactions. The method can also be used for reactions to mold or in patients with active Lyme disease. However, in practice, when someone lives in a moldy environment or has active Lyme disease, symptoms often return, as these conditions continuously stress the body. Both situations can be treated with SAAT, but it is extremely important that one does not live in an active moldy environment.

Preparation for the treatment

  • Ear cleaning: Do not wash both ears 24 hours before the treatment and avoid using soap. Do not rub or clean the ears intensely, as this can disrupt the natural oil layer. If this layer is damaged, the measurements may be less accurate.

  • During the treatment: The very fine needles are placed in the ear with an adhesive. During the period the needles are in place (approximately 4 weeks), the ear must not get wet or be exposed to shampoo. Disposable ear caps are available in our practice to protect the ear.

  • Sweating and water intake: Ensure that you do not sweat excessively during this period and that you have drunk at least 1.5 liters of water on the day of the treatment.

  • Allergen exposure: In the week prior to the treatment, consciously avoid the substance you react to, unless unavoidable (e.g., dust mites). During the period the needles are in place, it is essential to continue avoiding these substances for optimal results.

Treatment of severe allergies

For allergies where a anaphylactic reaction is possible, extra caution is taken. The goal of the treatment is always to reduce or prevent a potential anaphylactic reaction in case of accidental exposure. Consequently, the focus of the treatment is not on reintroducing the substance that triggers the anaphylactic reaction.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SAAT technique?

SAAT is a specialized form of ear acupuncture developed by Dr. Nader Soliman. This method is used to treat allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances.

During the treatment, very small, sterile needles (permanent stay needles) are placed at specific points in the ear. These points correspond to the immune system and the body’s response to certain substances and remain in place.

The goal of SAAT is to help the body “reprogram” the hypersensitive reaction to an allergen, so that symptoms are reduced or eliminated.

The treatment is simple, virtually painless, and long-lasting – often just one to a few sessions are enough to achieve lasting results.

Who is this treatment for?

The SAAT treatment (Soliman’s Auricular Allergy Treatment) is intended for individuals with allergies, intolerances, or other forms of hypersensitivity. This method supports the immune system in normalizing excessive reactions to specific substances.

SAAT is applied for food allergies, where the immune system reacts abnormally to certain foods, as well as for food intolerances, such as lactose, fructose, or histamine intolerance. In both cases, the treatment can help better regulate the body’s response and reduce symptoms.

It is also used for environmental allergies (such as hay fever or dust mites), contact allergies, and insect or venom reactions. The treatment focuses on restoring balance in the immune system so that environmental triggers are less likely to provoke a reaction.

Additionally, SAAT is applied for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), a condition where mast cells are overactive and release excessive histamine and other substances. The treatment can help regulate the immune system’s hypersensitivity.

SAAT can also be supportive for Alpha-Gal Syndrome, a tick-bite–induced allergy to red meat.

In short, SAAT is suitable for individuals with various forms of allergic or immune-related hypersensitivity and offers a safe, non-medication-based approach to support the restoration of immune balance.

What does a treatment look like in our practice?

Before the treatment, it is discussed which allergies, intolerances, or forms of hypersensitivity (such as MCAS) the client wishes to address. During the session, it is then tested whether there is indeed a sensitivity to the specific substance(s).

If the reaction occurs only to a single specific product, the client is asked to bring this product to the appointment. To obtain reliable test results, it should be provided indirectly—for example, in a sealed container or packaging—so there is no direct contact with the substance and no false-positive reactions occur when testing other components.

After testing, the appropriate ear points are determined, and small stay needles are placed according to the SAAT protocol. These needles remain in place for approximately three to four weeks. After this period, the client may return free of charge to have them removed. If this is not practically possible, the needles can also be removed by the client themselves or—if desired—by a (para)medical professional.

Is the treatment painful?

The SAAT treatment is generally well tolerated and barely painful.
The stay needles used are very thin and are placed superficially in the ear. Some clients experience a brief prick or slight pressure at the moment of insertion, but this usually disappears within a few seconds.

After placement, the ear points may be temporarily sensitive to touch, but this quickly subsides and does not affect daily functioning.
